Ok, so, here I am....my first session ready to be blogged. I have READ a million photography blogs (yes, a million is a slight exaggeration) yet I am still a little anxious about trying my hand at it. Fortunately, I have a really special session about which to blog.
Sue & Jen are very good friends of mine. I have known Sue for as long as I have had memories. There was a time when we lost touch, but like all good "old then new again" friendships we reconnected on Facebook and through Sue I found a friend in Jen.
My kids always refer to Sue as "Mommy's friend that plays". I like to consider myself a "playing mommy", but some days life gets in the way. And regardless of how much I like to play I cannot compete with Sue in that department. She climbs and chases and does all the other things my children love to do with an energy and enthusiasm that can't be matched (not by yours truly anyway).
So, when Sue and Jen announced that they were having a baby I couldn't WAIT! Sue as mom....Jen as a mom....eeeeek! What a lucky, lucky baby. I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph both their wedding and their maternity session and so I was on the edge of my seat waiting for their little bundle to arrive....probably not quite as much as they were, but close.
Jacob, (not Jamison even though I TRIED AND TRIED to get those two to name the little dude after me) took his time getting here, but he was oh-so-worth-the-wait. He is handsome and snuggly and smells so good....I know because I spent almost as much time squishing him as I did photographing him.
Jacob, I hope you know how lucky you are to have been born in to a home with truly amazing parents. I can't wait to watch you grow. Sue and Jen, congrats, my friends. Welcome to the crazy world of parenthood. I love you all.
